This summer we decided to check out a place a little closer to home for summer vacation. For a while I had heard from other parents how great St. Louis is for vacationing with kids. So we spent a few days there to check it all out. The kids had a blast and Dan and I were exhausted by the end of the week, but it was all worthwhile.
The St. Louis Children's Museum was a really cute little place and it seemed fairly new (that, or they keep that place impossibly clean for that many kids running through it). I'm not sure who loved the Mo Willems display more....Dan or the kids.

They also had a really cool branches of government display so the boys got to play around in a mini Oval Office.

Evan has Press Secretary skills for sure.

This place was filled with pretend stations, from construction sites to vet hospitals and auto shops.

Connor wouldn't participate in the hair-rising electricity experiment, so I jumped in with Evan.

The Cards were playing at home, so we took the boys to their first Major League Baseball game.

And checked out the horses and activites at Grant's Farm (another St. Louis freebie).

You can feed the goats, who act a whole lot like dogs when you have treats.

Of course a trip to St. Louis isn't complete without a visit to the Arch. This turned out to be the most adventurous part of the trip since we got caught in a sudden rainstorm when we left, and had to hail a Lyft just to make it back to our car.

Zero fear

The last place we visited was the Science Center (also free). Evan had fun with this game where kids moved a ball with mind power. Crazy.

Racing sailboats they made.

We went a few places where I didn't drag the real camera...including the City Museum, which isn't really a museum, but the kids had an absolute blast climbing, jumping, and sliding for hours.
Not sure how I feel about this display. Yikes.

They had a painting area too.

We packed a LOT into just a few days, including hotel pool time which for a kid is just about the best part of any vacation.
