Father's Day 2019

The boys had fun celebrating Dan on Father's Day.

Evan spent some time filling out this book about Dan that turned out to be absolutely perfect.

I wrote this little blurb on Facebook for his birthday, but I think it works for Father's Day too: He’s a wonderful Dad to our boys, and the lifter of spirits when things don’t always go as planned. He works hard, and is passionate about what he does, even on the hard days. He's also the Encyclopedia Brown of baseball, political, and 20th-century pop culture trivia, and the best wasp nest attacker, and trash taker-outer in the family. The doer of tasks that of course we both can do, but he does because, well, I really don't want to. We are a good balance in this whole parenting thing and I love that, and him.

I am usually on the ball and get the DAD photo picture done in advance, but it was a hectic week, so I had to take the boys out quickly to the side of our house and get some photos. I don't love that the house line is at an angle but as they say, it is what it is. I've kept this up since Evan was four years old. I wonder if they'll still let me do this when they're teenagers? Ha!

So glad I got to see my Dad and celebrate the fantastic Dad (and Grandpa) that he is.
