Connor's 6th Birthday

It's every mother's lament - how fast children grow - especially when it's your "baby." But here we are. Six years old. Connor is an amazing, spunky, dramatic, and energetic boy. Sharing similarities but also very different from his big brother. He loves basketball, Minecraft, dance, Star Wars (especially Darth Vader), mazes, and playing with his friends. He's such a stoic kid, as I think second children often have to be because they have to share attention with siblings. The transition to Kindergarten has been an adjustment for sure. It's all about "rigor" and academic progress, and he loves the weekends when he can just play and be silly.

For his birthday party he wanted to invite his entire Kindergarten class and some preschool friends to one of his favorite places - the gymnastics studio/bounce house. They get to jump around and get all the energy out and then eat cake and snacks. Does it get any better when you're six?

My mom's birthday is just three days after Connor's, so we had cake for both of them and Evan got out the candle for her too. <3
