St. Augustine Vacation

We have been talking for a long time about going back to St. Augustine and taking the kids, and this fall we finally made it happen. It helped that Dan's dad and stepmom are now living in Florida and have been asking for a long time when we were going to come and visit. Kids and life don't always make that easy, and it's four days of travel alone. Dan and I went to St. Augustine for our first anniversary and loved it. Going in October was awesome - not nearly as hot as summer or as crowded. A mix of phone and camera photos...

Picnicking along the way in Tennessee

My mom rode with us to visit a friend who lives in Florida to celebrate their birthdays. The boys loved having Grandma along (so did I)!

Hotel pool time!

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum

This scary treasure chest at Ripley's got Evan. LOL.

The entrance to St. George's Street and part of the old town wall.

The garden behind the Oldest School House.

Castillo de San Marcos

The Old City Jail - hopefully the only time the boys have this view.

A fellow C. Joseph!

Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park

The Pirate Museum - the boys loved this!

Flagler College, former Hotel

The free chocolate at St. Augustine's Chocolate Factory totally make the hair nets worth it.

Colonial Quarter and Ripley's

Couldn't leave the city without a family selfie under the Love Tree.

Mid-week we left to visit family. Waking up to palm trees every day sounds pretty nice, minus that whole Hurricane risk.
