Seeking Enlightenment Through Transcendentalism

Ever since he began dragging himself about the room, Evan Henry has been on a tear to discover new things. His most recent find was the bookshelf.

He took his time checking out all the titles and authors and finally made his choice. The first book that he pulled out all the way was from his namesake:

He grabbed it off the shelf...

...flipped open to page 80...

...and pointed to his new favorite Thoreau-ism:

"How could youths better learn to live than by at once trying the experiment of living?"

Man, that kid is deep. He gets it. It's a father's dream come true -- having his son embrace his philosophical core at such a young age.

Of course, he then tried to put the book in his mouth and eat it, so maybe I'm just getting way ahead of myself...

Having two intelligent parents, it's definitely the former with a little bit of his baby touch thrown in. Just wait until he's older. He'll out smart us all!! He's an amazing kid!
