Baby Steps

Evan started taking his first few tentative steps last Friday while visiting his grandparents. Crawling is still his preferred mode of transportation, but his face just lights up with delight when he realizes what he can do. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before he really takes off.

I finally got some video yesterday of the new skill.

Zoo Trip

We took a special behind-the-scenes tour at the Zoo this summer with Evan and my brother's family. The boys had a blast - feeding the turtles, watching a tiger demonstration, and seeing animals up close at the meta zoo. A big thanks to our friend, Jill, who works at the Zoo and arranged the special tour.

Do Not Step On The Grass!

Evan loves being outside, but absolutely hates sitting or stepping on the grass. Does this count as conservation?

The Yearbook Photo....

Evan's already getting prepped for the many years and joys of having a school photo taken. Who doesn't love a fake woodlands backdrop? Hopefully he won't look back at these and wonder "what were my parents thinking?"
