Two Months Old Today!

My how time flies. Little Evan is already two months old! In the past month he's started smiling, cooing, and 'talking.' He also discovered chewing on his fist and drooling are wonderful ways to spend an afternoon. He put up with us taking more pictures today to mark his two-month milestone.

It's tiring being so photogenic!

Evan's First Photo Shoot

Evan's Aunt Andie is a photographer and she came over to the house when he was three weeks old to take his first "professional" pictures. She was SO patient, especially during the wardrobe changes and lunch breaks! Here are a few of our favorites.

Giggles and Coos

Evan is quite the entertainer and loves spending time on his activity mat looking at the toys. He's so vocal already - he gets that from his Dad!

Bath Time for Bonzo

In our early days of new parenthood we had some trouble with timing bathtime. It only took three baths for us to figure out that he didn't have access to a water pistol and that it's not a good idea to give him a bath right after he eats. We're finally getting the hang of it and Evan doesn't cry through the whole thing. So here are some pics of bathtime fun. Censored of course so no one can embarass him in front of future girlfriends!

Oh, and here's a glimpse of his handsome smile!

Poster baby for cloth diapers

Dan and I try to be pretty eco-conscious, so we decided to try cloth diapering with Evan. If you haven't been diapering for a while, the options have gotten much better. You can still buy the 'prefolds' and covers but now they make pocket-style and all-in-one cloth diapers in various fun patterns. I had to restrain myself from going overboard building a supply. They're a little bulkier than the 'sposies, but so stinkin' cute, who cares? Here's Evan modeling a few different kinds...

This is the all-in-one style

Prefold cloth diaper with a cover

This is a gDiaper - a sort of hybrid between a 'sposie and cloth. It has flushable / biodegradable inserts that go inside the cover. I really like these since they're roughly the same size and as convenient as a 'sposie

Dan picked out this one! Does it get any better?

Whose Genes Are Those?

So I know most people think Evan looks like his Daddy, which is okay since he's a little boy. But if you look at all of our newborn pictures I think he might favor his Mommy just a little bit. What do you think? Answer our poll - it's at least as accurate as all those Presidential polls!

One month old!

It's hard to believe but Evan is already a month old! He's changing and doing new things every day it seems. And growing!! He was 10 lbs. 15 oz. and 22.5 in. long at his check-up (between the 50th and 75th percentile). The pediatrician said he is right on target. We feel so blessed to have a healthy little boy. He posed for a few pictures to mark his one month birthday...and the very next day he smiled at us for the first time! We still need to capture that on camera but hopefully will have a picture of his megastar grin soon!

Say "Ahhh!"

Hi Mom!
