St. Patrick's Day

With a very Irish last name, it seems sacrilege not to acknowledge a holiday like St. Patrick's Day. But getting a workable photo of the boys for the occasion? Ha ha, well, I think St. Patrick had an easier time chasing the snakes out of Ireland!

Don't let those sweet faces fool you, these Irish lads can be mischievous little leprechauns.

Evan is a posing master though. Now if we could just get Connor to cooperate!

Snow Days

What's the old saying? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! In this case, I'm not referring to a person, but to the weather. After sailing all the way through January with only one snow day (in early November, at that), I thought maybe, just maybe we'd get through this school year without having to make up snow days. Oh February, you are a cruel, cruel month. I think there were seven snow days total during the month. Evan, of course, loved this. But five of those days occurred in one week (a very busy one at work, just to make travel more adventurous). It was a looooong week.

Playing in the snow was fun for a few of those days.

And playing with some neighbor friends (cell photos):

Connor didn't go out and play in the snow but I did bring some buckets of it inside for him to make a mess with while I was on a work conference call. Necessity is the mother of invention, right? I'll need to upgrade his Colombia fleece to some snow bibs for next year.
