New Year, New Discoveries

I think Evan might be a future day trader. He always seems to be 'on the go' even though he's not yet crawling. And he talks a mile a minute, even if we can't understand him.

Here he is explaining the intricacies of Ohio State's offensive line, using one of his favorite props:

He's mastered the art of the spin-and-roll, spinning a full 360 degrees on his belly then rolling over to get to whatever object he's spotted that he simply must have. No Army crawl for this kiddo. Which reminds me, be sure to vote on just when you think Evan will take those first steps.

Happy New Year!

Can it really be 2009? We anticipated 2008 for many reasons, not the least of which was the arrival of Evan Henry, so 2009 seems almost to have snuck up on us. Even so, Dan and I managed to go out and ring in the New Year with some friends - our first real night out in months! Evan's grandparents babysat and he was a little angel - asleep 10 minutes after we left and not a peep until an hour after we got home (of course!).

Evan turned 7 months old on the 31st. We are constantly amazed at the new things he seems to be doing every day - sitting up, rolling (across the room), and even standing with a little assistance. Oh, and his new favorite sound? Dadadadada.
